Christine Simpson turned to consulting after 34 years with Health Canada, Consumer Product Safety where she worked primarily in compliance and enforcement. Part of her responsibilities included negotiating recalls and training companies such as Walmart, IKEA and Hudson’s Bay on a broad range of consumer product safety regulations. Building on her experience, she now assists companies who want to expand their markets into Canada and comply with Canadian legislation. She also provides training, conducts market research, risk assessments and product evaluations on a broad range of consumer products.

Christine has also taken on advising companies of  tools available to protect their on-line reputation from the rampant sales of counterfeit and intellectual property infringements.

Christine participates on several standards writing committees both nationally and internationally including chairing two Canadian Standards Association Technical Committees, is a delegate on the  ISO Toy Safety committee and she was the Canadian delegate to revise ISO Guide 50 Guidelines for including Child Safety in Standards. She is currently a Director on the board of the Consumers’ Council of Canada.
